A Woodbridge accountant involved in several New Haven businesses was charged in a scheme to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars in COVID-19 relief funds, federal officials said. Antawn Davis, 40, was sentenced Friday by U.S. District Court Judge Julia E. Kobick to five months in prison and two years of supervised release after he pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud and one count of making false statements in June. He will also have to pay $49,999 in restitution and forfeiture.

U.S. Attorney Andrew M. Luger announced in a press release Harold Bennie Kaeding, 75, of Eden Prairie was sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison. He was convicted of wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, and money laundering.
