Karoline Leavitt has been tapped to be President-elect Donald Trump’s press secretary and she’ll be the youngest to ever hold the role.

Leavitt, 27, currently a spokesperson for Trump's transition, would be the youngest White House press secretary in history. Previously that distinction went to Ronald Ziegler, who was 29 when he took the position in 1969 in Richard Nixon's administration.

Ms. Leavitt, 27, who served as his campaign’s press secretary and worked in the White House during his first administration, will be the youngest person ever to assume the role.

There was no evidence of a Tucker Carlson appointment when the social media posts were made. Trump later named Karoline Leavitt to the position.
